Tracy Morgan is a stand up comedian, cast member on the multi-Emmy award-winning NBC hit series 30 Rock (wrapping up with its series finale on 1/31), a Saturday Night Live alum, and all around funny dude. Born and raised in New York City, Tracy was discovered in 1984 while performing stand-up at the Apollo. The talented comedian and sketch-comedy player has worked the national stand-up comedy circuit, starred in “Black and Blue”, his own HBO comedy special in 2010, and has appeared in films including “First Sunday” with Ice Cube, Half Baked” (co-starring former “SNL” cast member Jim Breuer), and “A Thin Line Between Love and Hate.”
Currently a series regular on HBO’ s “Curb Your Enthusiasm” as Leon Black, JB Smoove’s character has earned him an astounding cult-like following, making him an audience favorite. A gifted writer, comedian and actor, JB entertains audiences worldwide with his unique brand of comedic funk. Moving to Los Angeles in 1999, he landed a recurring role on MTV’ s “The Lyricist Lounge Show,” as well as featured guest spots on “The Chris Rock Show” and “Premium Blend.” His big break came in 2000 when he narrated and starred in the now cult classic “Pootie Tang” with Chris Rock. In 2001 he paired up with Adam Sandler to co-star in Mr. Deeds and in 2010, he starred opposite Steve Carrell in Tina Fey in “Date Night.” After an amazing yet short lived season as a cast member on Fox’ s “Cedric the Entertainer Presents,” JB moved back to NYC where he worked on “Saturday Night Live” as a writer, performer, and warm-up comedian. In the standup and acting worlds, Smoove has been featured on Comedy Central’ s Tough Crowd, Jamie Foxx Presents: Laffapalooza, “The Tonight Show,” “Joy Behar,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” “Def Comedy Jam,” “The Wanda Sykes Show,” and as a regular sketch actor on “Late Night with Conan O’ Brien.” He holds a recurring role as Manny on “Everybody Hates Chris,” and was a series regular on Fox’ s hit comedy ’Til Death.
Faizon Love got his start as a stand-up comedian and made his acting debut in an Off-Broadway at age 19. His motion picture debut was in “Bebe’s Kids,” filling in for the voice of the late comedian Robin Harris. A role in “The Meteor Man” starring Robert Townsend followed and Townsend then cast him in a co-starring role on his sitcom “The Parent ’Hood.” A breakout performance as the drug dealer Big Worm in the 1995 film “Friday” followed. Other film roles followed in “Elf,” “The Replacements,” “Made,” and “Couples Retreat.”
*Capone*’s comedy career launched in 1992, when a promoter friend challenged him to take his innate talent off the streets and to the stage. Soon performing with pros such as Tracey Morgan, Talent, and Michael Epps, many doors opened up for the boisterous budding comedian. Today, the notorious funnyman is also the C.E.O. of D.D.L. Enterprises and owns three businesses in the Bronx; a barbershop, beauty shop, and computer store. In addition to his acute business savvy, Capone’s ability to adapt to any audience has made him a mainstay in the comedy arena. He’s performed at many comedy clubs including New York’s Caroline’s Comedy Club, Uptown Comedy Club, Boston Comedy Club and tons of universities. It is this same universal comedic flair that helped Capone nab his gig as the host of Harlem’s legendary Amateur Night at the Apollo Theatre.
Perhaps best known as a correspondent on VH1’s “Best Week Ever,” Ardie Fuqua has appeared on HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam,” HBO’s “Bad Boys of Comedy,” BET’s “Comic View” and was in the film “Die Hard: With a Vengeance.” He is a regular at NYC’s “Comedy Cellar.”
Jay Pharoah recently returned to Studio 8H for his third season on Saturday Night Live. He is best known for his wide array of uncanny celebrity impressions including Will Smith, Eddie Murphy, Denzel Washington and Kanye West. Pharoah developed his comedy skills at a young age in local comedy clubs. He went on to tour in the UK, the US, and Montreal, and participated in the sketch comedy series, “Charlie Murphy’s Crash Comedy.” He previously performed stand-up on BET’s “One Mic Stand” and was the star of the 2010 BET Awards short, “The Package.” On the big screen, he was seen alongside Greta Gerwig, Bill Pullman, and Debra Winger the feature “Lola Versus.”
Damien Lemon has rapidly built a name for himself on the NYC comedy circuit and beyond. On stage, his material comes from everywhere and nowhere, from fornicating politicians driving up sex prices to the “Stop BCC’N!” campaign, and is delivered with a flair that can best be described as an all-inclusive bug-out session.
Luenell has appeared in TV, film and music videos. Best known for her breakthrough role as the hooker with the heart of gold in 2006’s blockbuster comedy “Borat,” Luenell is recognized by both mainstream and urban sectors. Her 2-year tour and DVD appearances in Katt Williams’ “American Hustle” have created an almost cult-like following. In 2012, she appeared in several top feature films including "Think Like a Man, "the 3-D animated “Hotel Transylvania” with Adam Sandler, “Taken” with Liam Neeson and “That’s My Boy” with Adam Sandler and Leighton Meester. TV appearances include “The Middle,” “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” as well as stand up appearances on Snoop Dog’s “Bad Girls of Comedy” (Showtime) and “Stand Up in Stilletos” (TV Guide Network.) Luenell is living her dream and her reputation as a top comic continues to flourish… including being named as one of the top 25 funniest people in LA (Los Angeles Magazine).
