The Hot 97 April Fools Comedy Show presented by Carolines on Broadway hits the Theater at Madison Square Garden on Friday, March 28 at 8pm. Enjoy an ALL-STAR line up of talented comedians!

Hosts Shawn and Marlon Wayans are joined by Tracy Morgan, Charlie Murphy, A.G. White, Hot 97’s own Cipha Sounds, Cocoa Brown, Rob Stapleton and Tony Roberts for one huge night of hysterical laughter!

The Wayans Brothers

Shawn and Marlon Wayans, return after hosting this show in 2012. The funny pair made their acting debut in 1989 in their brother Keenen Ivory Wayans’ feature film “I’m Gonna Get You Sucka.” Immediately following their feature film debut, they joined the cast of the Emmy Award winning comedy series, “In Living Color.” After leading the WB network’s line up for 5 yrears “The Wayans Bros.” sitcom, which Shawn and Marlon created and starred in, was the first WB show to be sold into syndication. The brothers began co-writing a string of blockbuster films starting with the smash “Scary Movie” where they also starred along side each other, and were directed by their brother Keenen Ivory Wayans. Shawn and Marlon’s other hit films include “Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in The Hood,” “Little Man,” and “White Chicks,” which they also co-wrote and produced. Along with their brothers and sisters, the pair created “Thugaboo” and the subsequent “Boo Crew” animated specials for Nickelodeon. TheBooCrew.com was released in fall 2009 and plans are underway to turn The Boo Crew into a daily comic strip. Additionally, Marlon starred in the 2009 blockbuster “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” where he played Ripcord, the G.I. Joe team HALO’s jumper. When not producing and starring in hit flicks or on the road performing standup, Shawn and Marlon can be found hard at work in the “lab” where the Wayans siblings are busy concocting their next project.

Tracy Morgan

Tracy Morgan, past host of several April Fools Comedy Shows, is a stand up comedian, a Saturday Night Live alum, was a cast member on the multi-Emmy award-winning NBC hit series 30 Rock that wrapped last year, and all around funny dude. Born and raised in New York City, Tracy was discovered in 1984 while performing stand-up at the Apollo. The talented comedian and sketch-comedy player has worked the national stand-up comedy circuit, starred in “Black and Blue”, his own HBO comedy special in 2010, and has appeared in films including “First Sunday” with Ice Cube, Half Baked” (co-starring former “SNL” cast member Jim Breuer), and “A Thin Line Between Love and Hate.”

Charlie Murphy

Charlie Murphy burst onto the national scene as a cast member on Comedy Central’s hit series “Chappelle’s Show”. He has since risen to international comedy star status, performing his hilarious and high-energy stand up acts worldwide. The older brother of comedy icon Eddie Murphy, Charlie toured nationally as part of the I’m Rich Bitch comedy tour. Charlie launched the Charlie Murphy and Friends comedy tour, headlining shows across the country with comedian Mike Epps. Playing to audiences of all races, Charlie soon joined the Real Men of Comedy Tour, hitting 20 cities with John Heffron and Joe Rogan. Charlie’s one hour special debut, I Will Not Apologize, premiered on Comedy Central and was released on DVD to rave reviews. Simon & Schuster recently published his autobiography, The Making of a Stand Up Guy, which became a top-selling read. The comic’s follow-up special, Charlie Murphy’s Acid Trip, garnered him even more fans around the country. When not on the road, Charlie performs at the top comedy clubs in NY and LA.

A.G. White

Born and raised in the East New York section of Brooklyn one of the Brooklyn’s toughest neighborhoods, A.G. White was a mrmber of that one white family that didn’t move out. A.G is known to give his audiences a real “taste of comedy with a different flavor.” After performing at several local nightspots with very positive responses, he took his act to Harlem where he performed at the renowned Uptown Comedy Club. Passing their “New Jack” segment of the club, he was asked to return as a regular, and later received his first national broadcast opportunity on the club’s newly televised TV show: The Uptown Comedy Club. Through these stand-up routines, airing nationally on the FOX network and in syndication, his unique style gained familiarity through the comedy arena. Emphatically accepted by New York audiences, talent agents took notice and asked him to perform at the Apollo Theater. This lead to his performances on “It’s Showtime at the Apollo” where he was featured as the guest comedian at the Tribute to Robin Harris. Since then A.G has hosted and performed internationally at various venues including comedy clubs, colleges, and even fashion shows. He’s expanded his diverse comedic style to reach audiences of BET’s Comic View and is now producing live Stand-up Comedy Events at National Amusement Theaters. A.G. has also been seen on HBO comedy series. P.Diddy Presents and The Bad Boys of Comedy now out on DVD. Audiences acclaim of A.G.’s various ethnic characters including “round-the-way” girls, homeboys, white males, Latinos, Jamaicans, and Arabs, have enable him to cross multicultural barriers.

Cipha Sounds

No matter how well they control the crowd or dazzle on the decks, most DJ’s spend their lives in the shadows, remaining remain anonymous heroes lost in the darkness of the booth. Yet Cipha Sounds is not “most DJs.” Whether hosting “The Cipha Sounds & Rosenberg” Show with K. Foxx on NY’s #1 station HOT 97FM, Dj’ing and doing stand-up comedy all around the world, producing and hosting his monthly comedy show “Don’t Get Gassed Comedy Series” Cipha radiates personality, driving every project with his likeable demeanor and confident tastes. As comfortable on stage as he is behind the turntables, Cipha’s carved out a distinct voice in music and comedy over the past 15 years. Currently, he produces and hosts NYC’s hottest comedy shows at the legendary Carolines on Broadway. His monthly “Don’t Get Gassed Comedy Series” features some of the hottest talent in the biz, from SNL, Bad Boys of Comedy, Def Jam Comedy, and Comedy Central. The show combines lifestyle and nightlife ambiance, with laughter and live dj, while keeping things young, fly and funny. Cocoa Brown

The funny and talented Cocoa Brown assails her craft with such passion and soul-searching veracity, when she claims a stage the ensuing act is nothing short of a force of a nature. Cocoa Brown audaciously draws from painful reminiscences and hard-knocked lessons, bravely weaving humorous tales that uplift, upend, and upgrade everything you thought you knew about comedy. She has assembled an extensive body of work with credits that include Tyler Perry’s critically acclaimed comedy For Better or Worse, the film Lakeview Terrace with Samuel L. Jackson, as well as a national commercial spot for Progressive Insurance. A career that began as an advertising associate for Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus and a writer for various sketch comedy shows proved confining for the dynamic performer. She honed her writing and creativity to pursue her dream of being a stand-up comic. A decade later Brown had nearly mastered the art of comedy. She harnessed its essence and purpose, performing on top rated comedy shows including BET’s Comic View and One Mic Stand and Showtime at the Apollo.

Rob Stapleton

Whether performing for a few dozen or a few thousand people, Bronx born and raised comedian Rob Stapleton gives you his all every time he hits the stage. This constant energy and overwhelming crowd reaction has made him one of the hottest standup performers working today. Using his veteran comedic knowledge from his performances on HBO’s Bad Boys of Comedy, Showtimes Mike Epp’s Live at The Nokia, his own special on Comedy Central, Showtime at the Apollo, Def Comedy Jam and BET Comic View, Rob has perfected the art of making hilarious observations about everyday life. In 2002 he was seen in the film “Death Of A Dynasty” as multi-platinum rapper Jay-Z. Rob’s quick fire comedy and energetic delivery will have you laughing hysterically at his dead on take of life in the hustle and bustle of New York City . On point takes like this have earned him the position of host of Amateur Night at the world famous Apollo and his versatile style has also made him a favorite on the college scene where he tours extensively.

Tony Roberts

Detroit-born Tony Roberts has been referred to by his peers as the “Comedians-comedian,” the guy other performers love to watch work. His hilarious and refreshing energetic comedy style has granted him respect and created a huge demand for him on the comedy circuit, in the US and abroad. Legendary comedian and sitcom director, David Steinberg acclaimed Tony as “a breakout talent” after seeing his stand-up act and cast him in a series of funny burger king commercials he directed. A favorite of club owners for his improvisational skills and quick wit, Roberts has toured the nation with his stand-up comedy in all the major night clubs across the country including Caroline’s and The Boston Comedy Club in NYC, The Peppermint Lounge in NJ, All Jokes Aside in both Chicago and Detroit, and The Comedy Act Theater in Los Angeles. Numerous television appearances include HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam,” BET’s “Comic View,” and “Showtime at the Apollo.” His 1-hour comedy special, “Wired”, aired on Showtime in 2010 and the DVD is featured at Walmarts across the country. Early on, Tony received BET’s, Robin Harris Award for Most Original Comic. In 2009 he was nominated in the UK for Best International Comic and in 2011, Co Ed Magazine voted Tony Roberts as the most underrated comic on the planet. Last year, Tony recorded his second stand up comedy special.
