The Hot 97 April Fools Comedy Show presented by Carolines on Broadway returns to the Theater at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, April 1 at 8pm. Enjoy an ALL-STAR line up of talented comedians!

Corey Holcomb hosts a hot line up including Sinbad, Lavell Crawford, Damon Wayans, Jr., Donnell Rawlings, Rob Stapleton, and Deon Cole for one supreme night of laughter!

COREY HOLCOMB (HOST)
Going from hanging in the hood to performing comedy on Jay Leno’s “Tonight Show” (plus the privilege of being invited to take a seat on the “couch” afterward ), has been a long and fulfilling journey for Corey Holcomb. Corey hit his first open mic in 1992 when Adele Givens called him to the stage and has been a full-time comedian ever since. He’s taken top honors at the Miller Genuine Draft Comedy Search, Budweiser Comedy Competition, Chicago Home Jam, and Laffapalooza and has appeared at the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival and the Chicago Comedy Festival. Film and TV credits include hit flick, “The Wedding Ringer,” TV’s “Last Comic Standing,”“The Tonight Show,” “Comic View,” “Mad TV,” Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend,” HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam, Tyler Perry’s “House of Pain,” and recurring roles on “Black Jesus,” “The Cleveland Show”and “Half & Half.” He has also appeared in 3 comedy specials of his own, Corey Holcomb: “The Problem Is You,” Comedy Central Presents: “Corey Holcomb,” and Corey Holcomb: “Your Way Ain’t Working.” Corey was also a regular on Jamie Foxx’s satellite radio channel The Foxxhole from 2007 to 2011. He currently hosts his own internet radio program, The Corey Holcomb 5150 Show, which began on The Foxxhole and moved to the Roscoe Media Center website.

SINBAD
In the early 1980s, Sinbad caught his first big break as a contestant on Star Search, winning 10 times on the show. Soon he was an in-demand performer and landed a role on TV sitcom The Redd Foxx Show, playing Foxx’s son on the short-lived series. Next up was a recurring role on A Different World, which ran from 1987 to 1991. Sinbad continued to perform his stand-up and became known for his offbeat yet clean humor. He went on to star his own sitcom, The Sinbad Show, in 1993, playing a single foster father. Sinbad’sfilm appearances including costarring with Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1996’a Jingle All the Way and with Phil Hartman in Houseguest (1995). Around this time, he also wrote Sinbad’s Guide to Life: Because I Know Everything.
Sinbad remains a popular live performer, landing a number of stand-up gigs each year. He also continues to appear on TV and in films. He lent his voice to the animated series Slacker Cats and was a competitor on Celebrity Apprentice in 2010. In 2011, he had his own reality show, Sinbad: It’s Just Family, focusing on his domestic life.

LAVELL CRAWFORD
Perhaps best known for his role on BREAKING BAD (as Huell), Lavell Crawford next hits the big screen alongside Kristen Stewart, Jesse Eisenberg, and Uma Thurman in AMERICAN ULTRA. To those in the know, Lavell is one of the hottest artists breaking out of the urban scene in years. With his original voice and consistent wealth of new material, Lavell has started selling out big time at theaters, major arena tours as headliner and closer; colleges, casinos, and clubs across the world generating seven-figure income in that area. Recent projects include his on-going recurring roles on THE CRAZY ONES, SUPER FUN NIGHT, and ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA, as well as his work for several weeks as Guest Host of the STEVE HARVEY RADIO SHOW, regular appearances on CHELSEA LATELY, recurring voice over roles on Adult Swim’s SQUIDBILLIES, ongoing series regular role on Swim’s new series, SPERM WHALE. and roles on TOSH.0 and WORKAHOLICS. His one-hour special LAVELL CRAWFORD: CAN A BROTHER GET SOME LOVE recently premiered this year on Comedy Central, his second special for the network. Lavell has had a deal for a scripted series at Comedy Central as well.

DAMON WAYANS, JR
In 2005 Damon Wayans, JR followed his father’s comedic foot steps and braved the world of stand up comedy under the pseudonym Kyle Green. Since then, Damon Jr. has appeared performing alongside his father in the Showtime sketch comedy television series, “The Underground” (2006) and also served as a writer on the series. He also wrote, directed and starred in a series of innovative internet-based comedy sketches for “Way-Out TV” a website launched in 2007 by his father, Damon Wayans Sr. In January 2008 Damon Jr. was featured on HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam.” Recurring roles on the TV series “Happy Endings” (2011-2013) and “The New Girl” (2011-2015) followed. The young and talented multi-hyphenate continues honing his stand-up skills, performing in comedy clubs across the country, while further pursuing his crafts of acting and writing.

DONNELL RAWLINGS
Donnell Rawlings is an overnight success a decade in the making. He made a splash in the DC comedy clubs going from a heckler in the audience to HBO’s Def Comedy Jam in 6 months time. You’ve seen him as ‘Ashy Larry’ on Comedy Central’s acclaimed, Chappelle’s Show, where he joined Dave Chappelle as both as a writer and performer. His 1-Hour Stand-Up “Ashy to Classy” premiered on Comedy Central in October 2010. In 2014, Donnell lit the stage for a record number of shows working with Dave Chappelle at Radio City Music Hall in NYC. He starred in his own show as Judge Rawlings on MTV2’s Guy Court and appeared on MTV2’s Guy Code for another season as well. Donnell can be seen hosting Staann’ Dup to be seen on StarzBlack. He lends his voice in a recurring role as “Another Cat Named Rally” on the hit animation Black Dynamite as well being featured in Adult Swim’s animation. Donnell continues to tour heavily, performing his intelligently bold stand-up throughout the US, Europe, and the Caribbean. Working in radio, he was a co-host on NY’s Power 105’s morning show “Egypt and Ashy in the Morning” and “The Big Tigger Morning Show” on WPGC in Washington DC, and made guest appearances on NY’s Hot 97 Morning Show. He was also a regular on E!’s “Chelsea Lately", starred in Comedy Central’s “Reality Bites Back,” and was the resident “Funny Guy” on the Ricki Lake Show. As an actor, Donnell appeared in Spider-Man II and his TV credits include Law & Order’s Special Victims Unit (SVU) and Criminal Intent,NBC’s Third Watch, the Emmy-Award winning HBO Mini-Series: The Corner, and as Day-Day Price on HBO’s Emmy-Award winning series “The Wire.”

ROB STAPLETON
Known for his hilarious, high energy act, Rob Stapleton has become a favorite around the country and referred to as ‘a beast on the stage’. His keen, observational style has led to numerous television appearances which include stints on popular shows such as ’HBO’s P-Diddy’s Bad Boys of Comedy’, ‘Live at The Nokia with Mike Epps’, ‘Jamie Foxx’s Laffapalooza’, numerous appearances on BET’S Comicview as well as his very own half hour special on Comedy Central. This past summer Rob was tapped to work with Marlon Wayans on the new internet sensation titled ‘Whatthefunny.com’ in which the duo came together to create the hilarious ‘Rob Stapleton Show’ featuring some of the funniest sketches you will ever see, which include the viral ‘Beyond Scared Straight’. Future projects that Rob can be seen is his new action comedy film titled “The Stuff” as well as a highly anticipated new reality show he is producing with Charlie Murphy titled ’Comic’s Turnt Up’. Things are really on the rise for this comedy veteran, as he continues to set the bar while closing in on his goal of making himself a household name.

DEON COLE
South side of Chicago-born Deon Cole‘s charismatic personality and original style make him one of the most popular performers on today’s comedy. As a standup, he has been featured on Shaq’s All Star Comedy Jam, T‎he Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show, Laffapalooza, and Mash Ups along with his own Comedy Central Presents: Deon Cole. After appearing on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien in 2009, Deon was offered a job as a staff writer for the show and quickly became known for his hilarious appearances as a commentator on the show. In 2010, he was nominated for his first EMMY and Writers Guild Award along with the other writers of The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien and he was named one of the “Top 10 Comedians to Watch” by VARIETY. In 2011, he received his second Emmy Nomination for his work with the writers of CONAN and in 2013 he went on to star in his own show for TBS called, Deon Cole’s Black Box. Deon currently appears as “Charlie” on ABC’s Black-ish, and will soon be one of the lead roles in TBS’s Angie Tribeca created by Steve and Nancy Carell, starring Rashida Jones. He also recently guest starred on USA’s Benched, and has been featured on FX’s The League, ‎Wild N’ Out with Nick Cannon, as well as the films, Barbershop 1 & 2.
