Eight of comedy’s funniest entertainers all on one stage!

One night. 8 Amazing Comedians in one amazing evening. A seriously funny show.

D.L. Hughley
One of the most popular and highly recognized standup comedians on the road today has also made quite an impression in the feature film and television arena. D.L. Hughley spent four successful years starring in his own sitcom “The Hughleys,” and he shows no signs of slowing down. D.L. just wrapped the first season of his own late night talk show for Comedy Central “Weekends at the D.L.,” filling the coveted 11:00 p.m. time slot on Friday and Saturday nights. Also currently airing on Comedy Central is D.L.’s one-hour comedy special “Shocked and Appalled.” On the CD side, D.L.’s long-awaited comedy CD Notes From the GED Section is currently available.

In addition to some exciting television developments, D.L. took a serious turn, starring in the drama Shackles, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Fest. Hughley wowed audiences with his talent on film in 2001 in The Brothers, and co-starred in Cloud Nine in 2006 opposite Burt Reynolds. However, it was the mega-hit ORIGINAL KINGS OF COMEDY that launched D.L. into superstardom. The film, based on the 1999 tour featuring D.L., Bernie Mac, Steve Harvey and Cedric the Entertainer, garnered close to $40 million at the box office and became one of the highest selling DVDs in 2001. In 1999 comedians D.L., Bernie, Steve and Cedric embarked on this national tour, which sold out most of the major concert arenas in over 50 cities across the country and went on to gross a staggering $37 million dollars nationwide. Spike Lee, eager to expose the tour to a larger audience, made a docu-film of the tour, and it was released nationwide to rave reviews.

D.L. has undoubtedly proved himself as one of the hardest working men in showbiz. In addition to his growing film resume, D.L. continues his reign on the standup comedy front, filling out concert arenas and headlining comedy clubs across the country. He stars in a One- Hour comedy special from UrbanWorks Entertainment, as part of the successful Platinum series. His One-Hour HBO Special “D.L Hughley Going Home,” earned D.L. a nomination for an NAACP Image Award.

Kevin Hart
Kevin Hart has burst onto the scene as one of the most versatile comedy actors in film and television. Hart recently returned from Budapest where he was filming Comedy Central’s new series “Krod Mandoon and The Flaming Sword of Fire” set to premiere in April 2009. Hart can currently be seen on the big screen in the Screen Gems drama Not Easily Broken opposite Morris Chestnut and Taraji P. Henson, which hit theatres on January 9th, 2009.

Hart took over as host of BET’s classic stand-up comedy series “Comic View: One Mic Stand” when the show re-launched in September. The series, which showcases seasoned and up-and-coming comedians, airs Wednesdays at 11:30 PM. Hart follows in the footsteps of past hosts such as D.L. Hughley and Cedric the Entertainer. Hart’s other television credits include ABC’s “The Big House” which he also executive produced and wrote and recurring roles on “Love, Inc,” “Barbershop,” and “Undeclared.”

Hart debuted on amateur night a Philadelphia comedy club and was insistently hooked. He quit his job as a shoe salesman and began performing full time at such clubs as The Boston Comedy Club, Caroline’s, Stand-Up NY, The Laugh Factory and The Comedy Store in Los Angeles. However, it was his first appearance at the Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival that led to work in such feature films as Paper Soldiers, Scary Movie 3, and Along Came Polly opposite Ben Stiller and Jennifer Aniston.

Most recently, Hart was seen on the big screen in the FOX comedy Meet Dave opposite Eddie Murphy. Earlier this year, he was seen in Dimension Film’s action comedy spoof Superhero Movie opposite Tracey Morgan, Regina Hall and also co-starred in Fool’s Gold opposite Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson. His biggest break came when he landed the lead in MGM’s Soul Plane opposite Tom Arnold, Method Man and Snoop Doog. Hart’s recent film credits include Drillbit Taylor, Epic Movie, The Last Stand, Scary Movie 4, In the Mix and The 40 Year Old Virgin.

Charlie Murphy
Charlie Murphy’s rapid evolution from “Chappelle’s Show” cast member to top-billed international comedian, playing to sold-out audiences around the globe, has been remarkable. He has spent the past 8 years performing his critically acclaimed stand-up show and solidifying his position in Hollywood as a true acting talent, in his own right.
At the start of his stand up career, he embarked on the national “I’m Rich Bitch” comedy tour, featuring fellow “Chappelle’s Show” cast members Bill Burr and Donnell Rawlings. “Charlie Murphy and Friends” and a co-headlining tour with Mike Epps followed. More recently, Murphy co-headlined on the 20-city “Maxim/Bud Light Real Men of Comedy Tour” with Joe Rogan and John Heffron. Charlie has worked with top Hollywood talent such as Denzel Washington, Halle Berry, Eddie Murphy, Danny Aiello, Terrance Howard, Gabrielle Union, Queen Latifah, Vanessa Williams, Rip Torn, Peter Falk, Redd Fox, Angela Bassett, Wesley Snipes, Jamie Foxx, Samuel Jackson and Sammy Davis, Jr.

Upcoming films include: Family Wedding with Forest Whitaker, America Ferrara and Carlos Mencia, The Cookout 2 with Faizon Love and Lottery Ticket with Bow Wow and Ice Cube. Other feature films have included: A Perfect Holiday, Kings Ransom, Roll Bounce, Chris Rock’s classic hip-hop parody CB4, Spike Lee’s Jungle Fever and Mo’ Betta Blues, Eddie Murphy’s Harlem Nights and Vampire in Brooklyn, on which Charlie was credited as a writer. Murphy’s most recent film writing endeavor, Norbit opened at #1 at the box office in 2007. Additional writing credits include a remake of The Incredible Shrinking Man and Paper Soldiers for Jay-Z’s Rockafella Films and Tales of the Dogg, an animated pilot for Snoop Dogg and MTV. Other recent projects include BET’s controversial We Gotta Do Better, and films such as Bar Starz, Unearthed, Night at the Museum, Twisted Fortune and The Hustle.

In 2009, Charlie wrote, produced, and starred in a series of webisodes for Sony Entertainment’s Crackle.com. He is currently starring in a multi-media advertising campaign for Nike’s Jordan Brand, featuring Charlie as long time Jordan nemesis/inspiration Leroy Smith. His autobiographical book entitled The Making of a Stand Up Guy, was published by Simon and Schuster, and hit stores in December 2009.
His live stand-up special and DVD, Charlie Murphy: I Will Not Apologize is being released in stores by Image Entertainment and will air on Comedy Central February 2010.

Capone
History has a funny way of repeating itself. Take the Windy City of Chicago circa the 1820s when a self-proclaimed Brooklyn street politician named Al Capone revolutionized the crime world with his hustling antics. Nearly 70 years later, the Bronx is introduced to Derrick Lee, another hustler who traded in his ruggish-thuggish ways to become a successful entrepreneur and later metamorphosize the world of comedy as Capone, the Gangster of Comedy. It was in 1992, when a promoter friend of Capone’s challenged him to take his innate talent off the streets and to the stage, that his comedy career was launched. Soon performing with professionals such as Tracey Morgan, Talent (Wyclef Jean’s 1998 The Carnival), and Michael Epps (Next Friday), many doors opened up for the boisterous budding comedian. Today, the notorious funnyman is also the C.E.O. of D.D.L. Enterprises and owns three businesses in the Bronx -a barbershop, beauty shop, and computer store. In addition to his acute business savvy, Capone’s ability to adapt to any audience has made him a mainstay in the comedy arena. He’s performed at a slew of comedy clubs including New York’s Caroline’s Comedy Club, Uptown Comedy Club, Boston Comedy Club and tons of universities. It is this same universal comedic flair that helped Capone nab his gig as the host of Harlem’s legendary Amateur Night at the Apollo Theatre.

Corey Holcomb
Going from hanging in the hood to performing comedy on Jay Leno’s “Tonight Show,” has been a long and fulfilling journey. Corey Holcomb’s comedy genius transcends class and racial divides. If you understand English, Corey’s humor will tickle your funny bone. People all over the world can relate to the drama of trying to make a relationship work.

Corey Holcomb’s comedy set is both an auditory and visual experience. His facial gestures alone can make an audience burst with laughter. Corey has been a featured comic on Comedy Central, Jamie Foxx’s Laffapalooza, BET’s Comic View, and HBO’s Def Comedy Jam. He has made guest appearances on shows such as Mad TV and Everybody Hates Chris. Although Corey has a long and diverse resume of successes, he remains humble and approachable. He continues to work hard to make the most of the film, television and standup opportunities he earns in order to build a career that reflects his true talent and abilities.

Naim Lynn
When you’re 6 feet tall, isn’t the sky your only limit? It is according to Na’im Lynn a slim kid from a small town in Jersey. . He brings a new flavor and originality to the comedy game, and defines himself as an entertainer for all. In his 10 years, he has performed all across the country and is promising to be one of the next BIG things. After touring for some time with rising star Kevin Hart, he has now made a name for himself. You may have previously seen Na’im on BET’s Comic View, Showtime@ The Apollo, P. Diddy’s Bad Boys of Comedy, Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham, TV One’s “The Funny Spot”, Byron Allen’s Comics Unleashed and will tape for the next season of Def Comedy Jam.

Smokey
Smokey hails from the streets of Harlem. Besides his memorable appearance on the 2008 season of Def Comedy Jam he was also the winner of the very popular Bay Area Comedy Competition in 2007. This is the same contest that helped launch the careers of Jamie Foxx , Mark Curry & many more. This high energy dynamo is definitely one to watch out for in the near future.
